“We go live to our Tabloid News reporter, over to you Derrick.”
Derrick: “Thank you Melissa. We’re here standing in what’s left of the main street, where a local Division Eleven race was looted by a busload of mercenaries who drove their bus straight through the barricades where local kids had lined up to race. Reports are sketchy at this stage, but eyewitnesses say the mercenaries then pushed the kids off their bikes, rode the bikes up to the various stalls, looted them, stole people’s wallets, then horded their loot into the bus and took off again.
“If you pan the camera this way, you can have a good look at the devastation left behind.”
Melissa: “Tragic. This would bring the raids over the last week into double figures wouldn’t it?”
Derrick: “Yes, well into double figures. By our count, we have nine Division Eleven races looted, a Division Nine race, along with several Division Eight races.”
Melissa: “All with the same M.O.?”
Derrick: “Same modus operandi, same equipment, same result.”
Melissa: “Even down to the buses used?”
Derrick: “Exactly. As the losses mount, it’s become clear that these mercenaries have been using a fleet of three buses to carry out simultaneous assaults, overwhelming local forces by sheer volume, before switching their members between each bus and going on another raiding run.”
Melissa: “Do the authorities have a list of suspects.”
Derrick: “There are a number of raiding groups that do seasonal hit and runs, but eyewitness reports indicate that this was done by our favourite infamous outfit, Australian Warlord, led by Rustgold.”
Melissa: “What indications are there to suggest it was Rustgold’s crew?”
Derrick: “Eyewitness descriptions are of people who are known Rustgold lackeys, Rustgold just before we came on air released a press conference boasting about a hundred first grade successful raids against “minnows”, as he put it, and the AW bank balance is reportedly another several hundred thousand heavier.”
Melissa: “Are we going to see any arrests?”
Derrick: “It’s looking unlikely. Authorities are saying that Rustgold had the right to drive his buses into Division Eleven, so their hands are tied.”
Melissa: “Disgraceful.”
Derrick: “Totally agree. I have next to me an eyewitness to today’s events. Could you tell me what happened?”
Eyewitness: “I was standing here with my baby in my arms, when one of the thugs came up and stole the candy stick straight out of my baby’s mouth.”
Derrick: “Straight out of her mouth.”
Eyewitness: “Yep... (sob).... Then the same thug did the same to my sister’s baby boy. (cry).”
Derrick: “Terrible.”
Eyewitness: “(sob) And if that wasn’t enough, he felt it fit to hurl abuse at us.”
Derrick: “Abuse?”
Eyewitness: “Yes (sob).”
Derrick: “What did he say?”
Eyewitness: “That we were bad parents, that babies shouldn’t have candy, that it’ll (sob) rot their teeth, that we should know better (cry). And they just took the candy.”
Derrick: “Horrible.”
(crying in the background as eyewitness is led away)
Derrick: “And now we have Councillor Lee, whose council has been in dispute with state authorities over transport regulations for years. Tell us councillor, how does your council's dispute apply to this horrific incident?”
Cr Lee: “Thank you Derrick. As you know, we’ve been in dispute with the state over their requirements that all communities have complete national level transport links throughout. You’ve been here, we’re a tiny hillside village with tricky switchback chicanes, expecting our roads to take oversized buses isn’t realistic, but we have to, so you have these groups come in straight off the national highways, loot our communities, and go off again.”
Derrick: “And you say the state mandate is at fault.”
Cr Lee: “Of course. Without the state requirements, they wouldn’t be able to get in with their buses, and thus the incentive to raid our communities, and all Division Eleven and Division Nine communities are like this one. Without the buses, they wouldn't have the financial incentive to carry out these raids, and the money would stay in local hands. The transport mandate works well for larger communities, but out here it’s detrimental."
Derrick: "So you're suggesting changing the transport regulations is the way to fix this."
Cr Lee: "For sure. No financial incentive, no reason for them to be here, it's basic economics."
Derrick: “There you have it. Thank you councillor, back to you Melissa.”
Melissa: “That was our Tabloid News reporter, live from Division Eleven. Now in other news...”

We were among the victims in a division 7 race. As the rampaging squad was on its way up. :) GG I guess. :)
A bit dramatic and cruel with children. #StopStealingCandyStick
Brilliant :)
In case somebody doesn't understand the topic, it's on divisional dopping. You can read another discussion on that inside this forum thread > http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/forum/suggestions/380146 and older threads.
